The Rally for Impact pickleball tournament benefiting Lubbock Impact, is more than just a day of fun and competitive games; it’s a day of joy and connecting people to the mission of coming alongside the working poor to help meet their basic needs.

From the moment the doors opened at Lubbock Indoor Pickleball (LIP), people arrived with paddles in hand and smiles on their faces, some seasoned players and some who were newer to the sport but all with one thing in common: a heart to give back. Friends greeted each other with high fives, teams laughed their way through warmups, and the tournament buzzed with a beautiful mix of lighthearted competition and shared purpose.

It was a true pleasure to hear the participants saying things like: “We had such a great time!” and “Everything ran so smoothly and was such a blast.”

This event wasn’t just fun, it was impactful. Thanks to our incredible sponsors, donors, and players, we raised $10,671 to support the work of Lubbock Impact. That’s more meals served, more needs met, and more hope offered to the working poor right here in our city. Every dollar is a ripple in someone’s story, helping them move forward through hardship with dignity and support.

Behind the scenes, the team at LIP worked tirelessly to make the event seamless. From setting up the divisions to helping promote the event, all the way to running the day of excitement, their generosity and effort were a huge part of the event’s success. We truly couldn’t have done it without them.

Betenbough Homes teamed up as the Title Sponsor, helping make the event a win. And to every business that donated goodies and raffle items, thank you for adding joy to the day and making each participant feel celebrated.

We made new friends, sparked new interest, and welcomed new hearts into the work of Lubbock Impact. People who came to play have already reached out, eager to get involved.

Rally for Impact showcased that community is what makes Lubbock Impact special: neighbors showing up for neighbors, businesses wrapping around nonprofits, laughter, teamwork, and a shared desire to leave Lubbock better than we found it. Thank you for rallying with us and we will see you on the court next year!
