This summer we had our first group of six students complete the Faith and Finances 12-week class that is designed for low-income individuals. One couple taking the class evaluated their finances and realized their financial struggles were coming from expensive truck payments and eating out. Both husband and wife worked hard but continued to be in a financial crisis. The Faith and Finances class helped them realize they needed to get rid of their diesel truck for a compact car and the husband committed to eating leftovers for lunch instead of eating out every day. They were willing to make those sacrifices for their family of four to get out of debt. We are proud of these six graduates for investing in themselves.
