Lubbock Impact is a faith-based nonprofit that has been serving the Lubbock community since 2007. We have been on a mission to empower the working poor by providing enrichment programs and resources to meet physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. This provides the hope and tools to break generational poverty and build a stronger future. Lubbock Impact comes alongside individuals to help in the areas of food, clothing, healthcare, spiritual care, and enrichment programs.

No, you do not need an ID to receive help at Lubbock Impact. We only ask for your name, phone number, and birthdate.

Clinic Questions

How do I get seen at The TTUHSC Free Clinic?

TTUHSC’S Free Clinic is only open on Wednesday afternoons at Lubbock Impact and operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. No appointments are taken. Registration begins at 4:00 pm and registration ends once 25 patients have signed in. The Free Clinic only sees patients with no insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or the Blue Card.

If you need to be seen at the clinic, please come directly to the clinic door on the south side of the Lubbock Impact building. The door will open at 4:00 p.m. every Wednesday when volunteers who run the clinic arrive.

Please be aware that this is not an urgent care clinic. TTUHSC’s Free Clinic is staffed by volunteer medical professionals who are only here on Wednesdays after 4:00 pm. Lubbock Impact staff are not medical professionals and cannot give out any medical advice or information.

How do I get seen at the Free Eye Clinic?

The Free Eye Clinic sees patients who are without eye insurance by appointment only. If you would like to make an appointment, please call us at 806-799-4329 to have your name added to the waitlist.

Please be aware that this is not an urgent care clinic. The Free Eye Clinic is staffed by volunteer medical professionals who are only here on designated days. Lubbock Impact staff are not medical professionals and cannot give out any medical advice or information.

How do I get seen at the Free Dental Clinic?

The Free Dental Clinic is offered to patients without dental insurance and only performs tooth extractions. You must have an appointment to be seen at the Free Dental Clinic. If you would like to make an appointment, please call us at 806-799-4329 to have your name added to the waitlist.

Does the pharmacy fill outside prescriptions?

No, the pharmacy does not fill any prescriptions outside of the Free Clinics. Only prescriptions written by the Free Clinics are filled. This pharmacy does not carry any type of narcotics.

How do I get clothes?

You may shop the Clothes Closet by appointment only every 30 days. Please call us at 806-799-4329 to make an appointment.

What happens if I do not show up for my appointment?

If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be ineligible to shop the Clothes Closet for another 30 days. Please call Lubbock Impact to let us know if you will be unable to make your clothing appointment so that you can reschedule and avoid having to wait 30 days.

Do you accept walk-ins for the Clothes Closet?

Do you help with food?

We have a Food and Hygiene Pantry that you can shop at every 30 days. You do not need an appointment to shop this pantry, and it is open on Monday evenings from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm and on Thursday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

Every Tuesday at 6:00 pm, we offer a hot meal, known as the Community Meal. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Do you offer vouchers for the South Plains Food Bank?

We offer food vouchers on Mondays from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

If you are coming for a food voucher, you need to bring a valid ID and proof of residency.

How is Lubbock Impact funded?

Lubbock Impact is completely donor funded! We rely on the generosity of the community to keep our mission going. Lubbock Impact does not receive any government funding. Want to be a part of our mission by giving financially?

Are donations to Lubbock Impact tax deductible?

Yes! Lubbock Impact is a 501(c)(3) so all donations are tax deductible, including clothing!

What can I donate to Lubbock Impact?

You can donate men’s, women’s, and children’s clothes, blankets and shoes of all sizes to be put into our Clothes Closet. If you would like to donate pantry staples or hygiene products to our Food & Hygiene pantry, we would be so grateful! To see specific items we need, click here!

We do not accept housewares of any kind, simply because we do not have the space to store them.

Where and when can I donate to Lubbock Impact?

You can drop off clothing items at Lubbock Impact on Tuesday and Thursday mornings between 9:30 am – 12:00 pm. Please pull under the large blue portico at the double doors in our back parking lot. We are unable to accept donations outside of these hours because we do not have the manpower to receive donations throughout the day. The clothes closets are fully run by volunteers! Thank you for your understanding.

If you need to drop off food donations, you can do so during our regular office hours, which are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
