Free Optometry Clinic
The Free Optometry Clinic stands as a beacon of care, offering a free eye exam by optometrists and technicians who volunteer their time. If the eye exam reveals the need for corrective eyeglasses, the clinic provides a free pair of glasses to the patient.
The Free Optometry Clinic is open one Saturday of each month.
The Free Optometry Clinic serves adults ages 19-64 who do not have insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare. The Free Optometry Clinic is unable to serve college students due to Student Health Insurance. If you are a college student in need of an eye exam, please check with your university’s resources for services available to you.
While we are dedicated to your vision, only one pair of glasses per year is available. Please note that it is the patient’s responsibility for replacing any broken glasses. We do not offer any contact prescriptions.
The Free Optometry Clinic goes beyond offering clearer vision to the medically uninsured. The volunteer optometrists are committed not only to improving eyesight but also preventing health issues from worsening. Through eye exams, optometrists can identify early signs of glaucoma and other eye conditions.
Due to the high volume of patients, we are not accepting any new patients at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
For recommendations of other Optometry resources, please call our office at (806) 799-4329
We are so grateful for the volunteer optometrists and technicians who make this service possible. Their efforts help patients succeed in both their everyday life and career.
