In a 66,000-square-foot building that was built in the early-1950s, renovations sometimes seem daunting yet necessary to keep the space functional, inviting, and safe. Fortunately for us at Lubbock Impact, when we have a project, our community steps up to make it happen!
On the third floor, crews have been hard at work on a few of the classrooms, readying them for continued ministry and service to participants. Turning Point Church brought 25 strong and willing hands to rip out carpet, clear the walls to prepare for paint and all in all, cleaned out three rooms enough to fill an entire roll off dumpster. GreenStreet Construction also lent a hand, bringing a crew to serve and coordinating the roll off dumpster. ProTech Painting donated their services with paint that Turning Point Church purchased to put a fresh coat of paint on the walls, one of the last steps to truly refreshing the space. This summer, another group from Faith Bridge Church will come in and lay flooring, the final step before the space will be ready to use.
“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” 1 Peter 4:10
Seeing members of our community use their gifts, talents, and skills to benefit their community and ultimately, glorify God is such a blessing to witness. Thank you to those who see a need and find a way to fill that need- you’re the hands and feet of Christ and we’re so grateful.
